Prerequisites

You must be currently employed as a supplier of hospitality products or services to the hospitality industry to qualify for the CMHS.

Resource Materials

Candidates for the Certified Master Hotel Supplier (CMHS) designation will receive a study guide based on the track they have indicted on their application—supplier or food and beverage.

The study guide includes information on general hospitality operations, as well as information specific to the track selected.

Exam

When you are ready to take the exam online, contact AHLEI’s Certification Department to have the exam sent to your proctor.

A proctor may be a CHA, CMHS, a hospitality educator, an AHLA member association executive, your immediate supervisor or a member of the clergy. Your designated proctor cannot be a relative.

The CMHS exam has 125 multiple-choice questions that must be answered within two hours. The questions test your mastery of competencies derived from key areas of knowledge.
