Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®)

The Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) designation provides recognition for those individuals who know how to deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences. The CGSP® designation is the highest acknowledgment of awarding-winning guest service for employees in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Properties who certify all guest-facing staff as Certified Guest Service Professionals can earn a Certified Guest Service Property plaque.
There is no time in position requirement for the CGSP, making it ideal for onboarding and new employee orientation.
To qualify for the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) designation individuals must successfully complete one of AHLEI’s three Guest Service Gold® training programs.
How to Apply
Property-Level Training: Group training requires the purchase of one of the instructor/facilitator Guest Service Gold® Training Programs, as well as participant packages (that include workbook and certification exam scan sheet), which are sold separately.
Guest Service Gold® training can be delivered in two to four hours in a group setting or as individual training.

The CGSP® exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions and candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% to earn the CGSP® designation.
Successful candidates will receive a certificate and CGSP® lapel pin.
