The Certified Hospitality Revenue Manager certification recognizes your skill at managing revenue and plotting price points that makes the property successful.

Prerequisites
You can earn the CHRM designation if fifty percent or more of your duties involve revenue management, including forecasting, analyzing inventories, rates and occupancy, managing input of data and report generation, managing block activity, monitoring the property management system and managing and supervising reservations.
Candidate Time in Position: Current employment in a revenue management position for at least 6 months.
Time in position requirement can be eliminated if you meet the following conditions:
- One current AHLEI supervisor, management, department head, or executive certification
- A degree from an accredited academic institution

Resource Materials
CHRM Exam Preparation Booklet
Candidates for the Certified Hospitality Revenue Manager designation receive a CHRM Exam Preparation Booklet that helps streamline and focus your study and exam preparation. The booklet and CD that includes all CHRM resource materials, lets you assess your knowledge and experience by individual competency and then directs you to the specific resource by volume, chapter and subject.
CD
The CD contains five key knowledge areas that correspond with the Exam Preparation Booklet. As you identify knowledge areas requiring review or additional learning, you can access that information on the CD.
Exam
When you are ready to take the exam online, contact AHLEI’s Certification Department to have the exam sent to your proctor.
A proctor may be a CHA, CHRM, a hospitality educator, an AHLA member association executive, your immediate supervisor or a member of the clergy. Your designated proctor cannot be a relative.
The CHRM exam has 125 multiple-choice questions that must be answered within three hours. The test questions test your mastery of competencies derived from five key areas of knowledge. The key areas of testing are:
